Old Montreal
First of all, you can’t miss a visit to Vieux-Montréal, also known as Old Montreal. This neighborhood is quite old and is considered the most charming place in the entire city. Try to take a walking tour to take a closer look at the old buildings – which have now become government buildings and also places of commerce.
Among the most popular streets for tourists visiting the city is Rue Saint Paul Ouest, which was once considered Montreal's main street. This location should also be considered as a place to stay, as it is close to the tourist attractions.
Chinese Quarter
If you like oriental culture, especially Chinese culture, Quartier Chinois is a must-see destination as it is the city's eastern neighborhood. Unlike the rest of Montreal, it is responsible for keeping Chinese culture alive in the city. In addition, the neighborhood has several excellent restaurants serving traditional food, as well as stores selling Chinese products.
Underground City
Due to Montreal's extremely cold climate, which persists for much of the year, the city has a very intense underground life. Known as the Underground City, the city's network of underground passages is considered the largest in the world.
Strolling through these underground streets can be quite fun. There are over 30km of tunnels connecting buildings, shops and shopping malls. In addition, the Underground City has a direct connection to the subway.
